What motivates me as a teacher is to be able to share and pass on my knowledge to my students, but also learn from and exchange ideas with them.
Sophie Springer, born in Vienna, Austria, came to Florence to study Fashion Design. After graduating from the F.I.T. program at Polimoda Florence, she continued her studies in accessories, concentrating on shoes and bags. Besides designing and producing her own handbag line, “100% pure Italy” since 2004, Springer has been working as a freelance designer and a professor for several international schools in Florence for over 20 years, including SRISA. Springer’s courses include Patternmaking, Draping, Collection Production, and Garment Construction.
