The SRISA Design Department offers courses in Communication Design, Fashion Design, and Interior Design, with an emphasis on sustainable and ethical design. Students develop creative and technical skills while considering design’s social and environmental impact.
Courses such as Design and Social Movements in History and Sustainable Clothing and Ethical Fashion ask students to consider how design responds to social, cultural, and environmental issues.
Facilities
SRISA design studios, located at the Studio 55 Campus, just steps away from the main San Gallo Campus, provide ample workspace for students to develop their projects inside and outside of class. Each design room contains powerful Mac computers featuring the most recent versions of Adobe Suite and other relevant software. The Fashion studio is equipped with 13 beginning and advanced sewing machines, two overlock cutters, and forms for both European and USA standards.
