This course is designed for students that want to learn about principle fibers and materials used both in the fashion and art fields. Students will explore fiber techniques and their application in design and art. The course will study both theoretical and practical use of different fiber and textile treatments such as surface design, bleach painting, embroidery, cyanotype, and more. Projects will integrate techniques into appropriate design strategy for the fine arts or fashion design.
