This course is designed for both jewelry and art majors, as well as anyone who has an interest in creative wearable art. Students in this course will learn to utilize, reuse, and upcycle materials in creative and unique ways. The course is designed to challenge both beginning and advanced students to find creative approaches to materials and create jewelry and wearable art. The course will show many methods for cutting, altering, soldering, gluing, and joining materials of all kinds, including leather, plastic, silver, wood, wire, tire, and much more. The studio is equipped with a full array of jewelry and sculpture tools, making it easy for students to think outside the box.

SRISA studio courses will have personal and course materials to be purchased in Florence. Unless otherwise specified there is no need to bring consumable supplies with you. On the first day of class your professor will inform you of materials needed and where to get them in Florence.
