Night Life

Aperitivo

Concerts and Musical Events

Florence is full of live events throughout the year such as: classical music concerts, jazz concerts, gigs, theatre pieces and other shows. There are some places where the shows are even free. For example, every Monday evening during the academic year, the Conservatorio di Musica Cherubini, Piazza delle Belle Arti 2, offers free classical music concerts. If you love jazz, a place to go is Pinocchio Jazz , Viale Giannotti 13, Tel: 055 683 388.

Movies in English

During the week there are some cinemas, which show movies in original language, but the most famous is next to piazza Strozzi: the Cinema Odeon, (Via Sassetti 1), Tel: 055 214968, that has original language movies during the whole week.
You can see the program of Odeon here.

Another good place to keep in mind is The British Institute of Florence, Lungarno Guicciardini 23, Tel: 055 267781 which organizes mini-festivals dedicated to various directors with movies and cineforum session in English. There will be cinema brochures available at the front desk as soon as we receive updated information on autumn showings.
