Admissions Requirements

Studying at SRISA opens up a world of opportunities. You will have access to world-class facilities and the city of Florence to get the most out of your study abroad experience. Select which program interests you to see the requirements you need to meet to start your educational journey.

Summer 4 or 8-week Program

Student must:

  • be at least 18 years of age.
  • have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • have maintained a 2.5 GPA* in all college work attempted.
  • be able to fluently speak, write, and take exams in the English language.
  • submit their most recent official academic transcript to admissions@srisa.org upon submission of their enrollment application for acceptance review. 

* Students with a GPA lower than 2.5 may petition for acceptance by submitting a letter of intent, sample portfolio with 5-10 images of work or 2 writing samples, and 2 letters of recommendation with their enrollment application.

Semester/Year

Student must:

Post-Baccalaureate

Student must:

  • be at least 18 years of age.
  • have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • have maintained a 2.5 GPA* in all college work attempted.
  • be able to fluently speak, write, and take exams in the English language.
  • Submit:
    • their most recent official academic transcript to admissions@srisa.org upon submission of their enrollment application for acceptance review. 
    • their resume or CV
    • a portfolio of 15-20 images
    • an Artist Statement
    • 2 letters of reference
