Course Description:
This course engages video and sound as art forms. Pushing the boundaries of these mediums through their coupling with non-traditional means of presentation and the engagement of viewers in the work, students will elaborate a critical language alongside editing and post production strategies. Non-linear narratives and performance-based forms push students to reflect upon critical realities and prepare them for the various contexts that face video and sound artists in contemporary art production.
SRISA studio courses will have personal and course materials to be purchased in Florence. Unless otherwise specified there is no need to bring consumable supplies with you. On the first day of class your professor will inform you of materials needed and where to get them in Florence.
