Course Description:
This course is aimed to provide a strong mathematical background to students, thus enabling them to deal with issues that are typical of different areas of physics. The course consists of three parts: 1) Fourier series, Fourier and Laplace Transforms (which are essential tools to data and signals analysis) 2) Complex variables analysis and in particular its application to the solution of integrals using the residue method and 3) Solution of ordinary and partial differential equations. The topics are introduced and discussed using examples from and applications to real physics systems.
This course runs through SRISA's external partners at ISI. SRISA students may take up to 1 course through an external partner.
