- Prerequisite: advanced Italian or the successful completion of an entrance exam given at the beginning of the semester.
Course Description:
This is a course for students who have completed three semesters of Italian Language and wish to develop further grammatical proficiency, pronunciation, composition and reading comprehension. The course is a full emersion course where class lessons are taught in Italian from the first day, exposing students immediately to the language and developing the student’s listening, reading, writing and speaking skills. Emphasis will be placed on understanding advanced grammatical rules and complex syntactical construction. The students will have to produce a thesis at the end of the course, written in Italian, that might include the study of a particular author, literary text, or movie that is of their own interest. Note: For students entering in advanced levels an exam is necessary to place the student in an appropriate level.
