This is an advanced draping and patternmaking course in which the emphasis is on the cut and fit of garments. Students will further their pattern development skills on bias drape and cut, jacket and pants variations. The focus will be on accurate draping and construction techniques applied to the semester projects of individual designs of a completed outfit. Consistent individual assistance will be provided while always stimulating personal creativity. At the end of every semester, students have the opportunity to show the work they have completed throughout the semester in a student organized fashion show (semesters only).
SRISA studio courses will have personal and course materials to be purchased in Florence. Unless otherwise specified there is no need to bring consumable supplies with you. On the first day of class your professor will inform you of materials needed and where to get them in Florence.
