- Prerequisite: Students must have taken core and/or previous fashion design studio courses. This course is intended for Juniors and/or Seniors in Fashion Design.
Course Description:
This fashion design course focuses on draped methods of garment design, reflecting current fashion emphasis. Students will become familiar with fashion industry equipment and materials used for draping and develop skills of implementation for apparel design relating to draping, garment construction, fabric cutting, sewing, pattern drafting, fitting, seams and finishes.
SRISA studio courses will have personal and course materials to be purchased in Florence. Unless otherwise specified there is no need to bring consumable supplies with you. On the first day of class your professor will inform you of materials needed and where to get them in Florence.
