Course Description:
In the Fashion Illustration I course students learn how to create individual collections following their own fashion project. In order to express these projects students will learn technical skills such as sketching the fashion figure and drawing the drapery of garments as they fall on the human figure. Students will learn how to organize “color cards" and “mood boards” in order to express – in a visual way – the feel and style of a collection. Special attention will be given to creative projects involving real garments in order to prepare and participate in the school fashion show at the end of the semester.
SRISA studio courses will have personal and course materials to be purchased in Florence. Unless otherwise specified there is no need to bring consumable supplies with you. On the first day of class your professor will inform you of materials needed and where to get them in Florence.
