Course Description:
In this summer course students will explore digital photography using the beautiful and historic backdrop of Florence and Tuscany as inspiration. The course will examine such topics as urban and rural landscape and portraiture while learning digital techniques. It is structured to take full advantage of the experience of being in Florence. Class time will include visits to museums and galleries, field trips, technical demonstrations, individual and group critiques.
This course is open to students with all levels of photo experience. Beginners will master the basics of camera usage and photo editing skills. More advanced students will be encouraged to expand their personal photographic vision and skills.
All students must have a digital SLR camera which can function in manual mode.
SRISA studio courses will have personal and course materials to be purchased in Florence. Unless otherwise specified there is no need to bring consumable supplies with you. On the first day of class your professor will inform you of materials needed and where to get them in Florence.
