Course Description:
Behavioral science studies how people behave and how the environment and social factors influence our decisions. This course will discuss social influence and persuasive communication and the role they play in how our thoughts, actions and feelings can be changed, either actively or unconsciously, by the influence of others. We will examine both the major classic and contemporary theories of persuasion, key terms used, and ethical implications associated with persuasive attempts.
