SRISA memberships reflect our continuing effort to bring collaborative projects and initiatives regarding art and higher education to life. We help make SRISA’s assets, opportunities, skills, and knowledge accessible to diverse communities while deepening the understanding of responsible civic and academic engagement among students, faculty, and staff.
SRISA is a member of the following Associations:
- Association of American College and University Programs in Italy (AACUPI) is a non-profit legal entity in the US and Italy. One of its primary objectives is to enhance and facilitate the international educational interests of North American university programs in Italy through cooperative effort.
- The National Association of Foreign Student Advisors (NAFSA) is the world’s largest nonprofit professional association dedicated to international education. NAFSA works to advance policies and practices that build global citizens with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today’s interconnected world.
- The Forum on Education Abroad is a 501(c)(3) non-profit association recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission as the Standards Development Organization (SDO) for the field of education abroad. The Forum on Education Abroad is the only organization whose exclusive purpose is to serve the field of education abroad and its members are institutions of higher education, organizations, and agencies who are committed to improving education abroad.
- EDUITALIA is an association of schools and universities that offers courses to foreign students in Italy. EDUITALIA contributes to stimulating cultural tourism, as well as facilitating the arrival of students in Italy.
- College Art Association (CAA) is the preeminent international leadership organization in the visual arts. CAA promotes these arts and their understanding through advocacy, intellectual engagement, and a commitment to the diversity of practices and practitioners.
- Southern Graphics Council International (SGCI) is a non-profit organization committed to advancing the professional standing of persons engaged in making original prints, drawings, and other graphic media, stimulating public appreciation and interest in these arts.
- Texas Association of Schools of Art (TASA) is an association of art department faculty members at two-year and four-year public or private higher education institutions dedicated to addressing issues facing Texas higher education art courses.
