My time at SRISA was a truly life-changing experience. I met both my wife, Katy, and my best friend, Jacob, during my summer in Florence. My painting professor, Andrew Smaldone, had conversations with me and Jacob that were invaluable gifts to us, and encouraged our ambitions as both thinkers and makers. It led both me and Jacob to pursuing our MFAs at Yale, which led us both to being practicing artists as well as professors.
